Since 28 September 2026, Krafteam GmbH in Nordhorn has been certified to DIN EN ISO 45001:2023 for the first time. In an audit, DEKRA Certification GmbH confirmed that we have implemented and maintain a management system for occupational health and safety. The certified scope covers fibre optic and cable installation, HDD horizontal directional drilling, civil engineering and pipeline construction. The certificate is valid until 27 September 2029. We are proud of it because it applies to the work we do on site every day.
What does this mean?
ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management. It requires hazards to be identified systematically, risks to be assessed, measures to be defined and their effectiveness to be reviewed regularly. Whether this works in practice was assessed by an independent body, not by us. The certificate carries the mark of the German accreditation body DAkkS.
For grid operators and general contractors, it means that safety on our sites is documented and externally verified. For our teams, it means clear responsibilities and binding procedures.
How it works with SCC and ISO 9001
Alongside our SCC certification, which also covers occupational safety management, we have now added ISO 45001, an internationally recognised standard. Together with ISO 9001 (quality), the systems complement each other and are combined in one management system. This avoids duplicate work and keeps procedures clear for our teams and clients. Why this matters to us
In horizontal directional drilling and pipeline construction, we work with heavy machinery, buried utilities and often traffic right next to the site. Occupational safety is not a side issue, it is a responsibility to everyone who works with us. Our references show how we work.
Until 2029, the system will be applied, reviewed and improved on every site.
