How Horizontal Directional Drilling Works.
Instead of an open trench, a launch pit and a reception pit are sufficient. Between them, the pipeline is created in four steps — completely underground.
01 / Planning & Analysis
The route layout, soil reports, and existing utility lines are mapped out, and the drilling is planned precisely — the foundation for a safe and secure result.
02 / Pilot Bore
The drill head is steered and advanced along the planned route while being tracked in real time — centimeter-accurate in both position and depth.
03 / Reaming
The pilot channel is step-by-step enlarged to the required diameter. The drilling fluid stabilizes the channel and transports the excavated material away.
04 / Pipeline Pullback
The pre-assembled product pipe is pulled into the channel in a single operation — low-stress and with zero damage to the surface.
