⎯ Overview.
Where standard methods reach their limits.
Extra-high voltage underground cables, long-distance pipelines, river crossings: large-scale drillings are grand-scale projects. They require heavy machinery, experienced crews, and meticulous planning that accounts for every variable — from geology to fluid balance.
Over 32 t and up to 330 t of thrust force, drilling lengths extending beyond one kilometer, and pipe diameters up to DN 1400 — including the intersect method performed from both sides.
Typical Applications
↳ Extra-high voltage underground cable routes
↳ Major transmission network projects (SuedLink & Co.)
↳ River and canal crossings
↳ Nature reserves & challenging rock geologies
↳ Drilling lengths exceeding 1 km via the Intersect method

⎯ The Process.
Large-scale drilling, step by step.
Maxi HDD requires more than just raw power: it demands sophisticated fluid engineering, high-precision survey, and seamless coordination across all trades over every single meter.
01
Surveyed Pilot Hole
Guided advancement along the designated target route, continuously surveyed — and when necessary, connected under the surface from both sides using the Intersect method.
02
Step-by-Step Reaming
A reamer expands the pilot channel to the required diameter. The drilling fluid stabilizes the bore channel and transports the excavated material (cuttings) away.
03
Pipe String Pull-In
The prefabricated pipe string is pulled into place with immense pullback force — controlled, stress-monitored, and in a single continuous operation.
04
Verification & Handover
Seamless route documentation, pressure testing, and geodetic verification — right up to commissioning and beyond.
⎯ Competence.
What major projects demand from us.
Heavy Equipment Class
No long open trenches, no full road closures. Launch and reception pits are sufficient — residents and businesses remain accessible.
Rock & Hard Soils
Compact rigs are quickly on-site, rapidly set up, and highly flexible — ideal for tightly scheduled construction phases.
Intersect Method
For extreme lengths, we drill from both sides and precisely connect the pilot channels deep underground.
Fluid Management / Mud Recycling
Mobile mixing and recycling systems ensure stable bore channels and a resource-efficient, clean circulation system on-site.
Umwelt & Genehmigung
Extensive experience with environmental protection requirements, water body crossings, and the regulatory permitting management of complex routes.
Experienced Teams
Centrally coordinated crews backed by an in-house workshop — ensuring minimal downtime and strict adherence to schedules.
